A third generation Denver native, Tony began his career as an illustrator and watercolor artist. At age 45 he set out to do a painting of 'Opening Night of Invesco Field' on 9/10/2001. Camera in hand he took the set-up shots needed, however the events of the following day 9/11/2001 made the photograph more valuable than the painting would ever be. The Denver Broncos used one of the photos for the entry way of Dove Valley, and their poster was their top selling poster until it sold out in 2010. For Tony, this day was the beginning of his photographic career.
